Human Touch #01

News | 9 June 2026

Seeing beyond the catalogue is what we do best.

Human Touch is a space dedicated to Martex’s special projects, where we share how design can go beyond standard solutions to create truly unique furniture.

In this first article, we present three projects that embody our bespoke approach: transforming specific requirements into concrete solutions through research, technical expertise and meticulous attention to detail.

01. THE HAN TABLE: THE PERFECT CONTINUITY OF MATERIAL

The detail that makes all the difference: continuous-vein marble tops and softly rounded corners.

Working with marble requires respect; pushing it to its limits requires mastery.

For this special version of our Han Table, we carefully selected marble slabs whose natural veining flows seamlessly across the entire surface, creating a continuous visual effect without interruption. The gently rounded corners not only soften the table’s visual presence but also enhance its ergonomics, transforming an iconic piece into a sculptural work of art defined by fluidity and elegance.

02. KYO RECEPTION WITH RETURN: BESPOKE DESIGN BEYOND THE CATALOGUE

The concept is simple: if you can imagine it, we can create it.

Some projects will never appear in a standard catalogue, yet they come to life whenever a specific architectural requirement arises.

This is the case with this custom version of our Kyo Reception desk, configured in an L-shaped layout.

Designed to optimise entrance flows and welcome visitors with strong architectural lines, this composition is not part of our standard collection, but it perfectly reflects our philosophy: studying each space and adapting our systems to create unique, tailor-made solutions.

03. KYO CONFERENCE TABLE: THE SCALE OF INSTITUTIONAL DESIGN

The challenge: creating a monumental piece for a leading public institution.

Designing for public environments requires the perfect balance of prestige, functionality, and long-term durability.

For this project, we developed an extraordinary conference table of remarkable proportions. A monumental central element conceived to encourage dialogue and visual equality among participants during formal meetings, where functionality integrates seamlessly with the representative value of the furniture itself.

The project was engineered to accommodate all the technological features required by the client, including retractable monitors, microphones, and dedicated connectivity systems for institutional activities. Every component was integrated discreetly, preserving the table’s clean architectural lines while ensuring maximum usability during meetings and assemblies.
