LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) is a tool used to assess the potential
environmental impact of a product, a process or an activity during its
entire life cycle by examining the use of resources (“immissions” such
as energy, raw materials and water) and emissions into the environment
(“emissions” into the air, water and the ground) associated with
the system being examined.
